The Union Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) approved 86 projects worth ₹1,970.54 crore for the eight northeastern states in 2024, with ₹1,590.81 crore released under schemes like NESIDS, PM-DevINE, and NEC. To ensure effective implementation, Union Ministers made 723+ visits since 2015, monitored via the "Poorvottar Sampark Setu" portal. Two task forces were formed for developing the Agarwood and tourism sectors, with Agarwood poised for economic growth and global trade. Efforts include expanding the Agarwood industry in Tripura and developing world-class tourism sites in each state. Additionally, the first 'Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav' showcased the region’s cultural and economic potential in New Delhi.
