UP government to launch infrastructure projects of whopping ₹70,000 crore in July for which the MoUs were signed earlier in 2017 investors' summit. Of the 300 projects, two projects are worth ₹12,000 crore. While Pepsico has pledged an investment of ₹1,100 crore, ITC would spend Rs 700 crore on fast moving consumer goods manufacturing unit. Samsung, which introduced the world's largest mobile manufacturing unit in Noida previous year, would invest ₹2,000 crore. The Aditya Birla group will set up Rs 6,000 crore cement plant in Mirzapur, whereas Azure will be setting up renewable energy plants across UP state to produce solar power of 1,000 MW.
Other prominent companies expected to participate include Lava, Haier, and Vivo. In July 2018 the UP state government had inaugurated 81 projects worth Rs 60,146 crore, 7 of which accounted for 68% of the total investment.
