overing an extensive area of 135,000 square meters, bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2024 unveiled groundbreaking innovations, attracting over 51,118 trade visitors from 83 countries. The event hosted 6,298 productive buyer-seller meetings and introduced more than 20,000 innovative products and solutions, making significant strides in transforming India’s infrastructure sector. With participation from 984 exhibitors, the trade fair served as a vibrant platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development, solidifying its position as North India’s largest construction trade fair. These achievements underscore its pivotal role in advancing India’s infrastructure goals, aligning with the country’s vision of becoming a $5 trillion economy.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion. In his opening remarks, he stated:
“India is rapidly emerging as a global infrastructure leader with major projects worth ₹70 lakh crore underway. To maintain this momentum, we need to emphasize technological innovation, invest in R&D, and embrace sustainable fuels. As the world’s third-largest construction equipment industry, we have significant potential to enhance exports and bolster manufacturing. I encourage industry leaders to focus on cutting-edge technologies and global partnerships to ensure sustained growth and a greener, competitive future.”
